Yameeliz Fret serves as the Manager of Youth & School Engagement at Project Giving Kids. Yameeliz is a queer, Central Florida native of Puerto Rican descent. Yameeliz has worked within the education system providing professional development and resources to advance the health, safety, and well-being of marginalized youth and communities. She is passionate about community organizing and youth development, and believes that Project Giving Kids serves as a powerful opportunity to connect youth, families, communities, and organizations to the services and resources they need to succeed, as well as cultivate the next generation of empathy-driven, civic-minded leaders. Yameeliz earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Inequality and Social Justice from the University of South Florida. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree from the University of Florida in Public Interest Communication.
