The Weekend Farm & Garden Tour Guide volunteer activity is available on Saturdays and Sundays that Hidden Villa is open to the public and offering tours. Tours are 1 hour and 30 minutes each.

Hidden Villa does close to the public during the summer months for our residential Summer Camp. We do have open weekends that are every other weekend.

Mom, Dad or other grown-up (some adult facilitation/involvement required)

Hidden Villa's mission is to inspire a just and sustainable future through our programs, land, and legacy. As an educational nonprofit organization, we provide opportunities for people to learn about the environment and social justice. As a tour guide, you have the opportunity to teach tour participants about sustainable and organic agriculture, appropriate care of the land, how Frank & Josephine Duveneck started Hidden Villa, what we are today, and how we can make choices everyday to positively affect our environment and relationships with all living things.

Hidden Villa offers parent/child tour guide pairings! Becoming a Farm and Garden Tour Guide as a pair can be very rewarding. It builds compassion and friendship, offers opportunities to learn and teach together, and helps everyone get back in touch with nature. Tour guides get to spend time with Hidden Villa's farm animals and explore the education garden - while snacking on plants inside the garden. Tours are 1 hour and 30 minutes each. The Weekend Farm & Garden Tour Guide role can also be done solo by volunteers ages 16 or older.

Appropriate farm clothing, a friendly demeanor, and a welcoming attitude. Hidden Villa provides the necessary training to be a successful tour guide.

The Weekend Farm & Garden Tour Guide role can be done solo by volunteers ages 16 or older. If you are under the age of 16, you can volunteer with your legal guardian (parents, grandparents, uncles & aunts, etc.) and share in the experience together.
