On site at Newton Food Pantry in the basement of Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue in Newton. City Hall is accessible from MBTA Bus #59.

WHEN

Wednesdays from 12:00pm to 7:00pm.

WHOSE HELP IS REQUIRED

Teens, ages 13+.

HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

We want our clients to instantly feel welcomed and comfortable. Volunteers offer the first friendly and helpful face, and then assist our clients throughout their shopping process. 

DESCRIPTION

Volunteers may be asked to greet clients, assist with their shopping and bring their grocery bags to their cars.

As a 100% volunteer-based organization, your help is critical to supporting those most in need throughout our community.

ITEMS NEEDED

A positive attitude and willingness to help.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

All volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Some volunteers (depending on age and role) require a parent or guardian present. Masks are required for all inside shifts.
