Throughout the following areas of Rhode Island: Providence, Pawtucket, and Central Falls
It takes less than an hour and you can set your own schedule , whether you want to help out daily, weekly, or sporadically. Any time of year!
WHOSE HELP IS REQUIRED
Adult supervision is required if children are present. Many rescue events require transportation to participate.
HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Rescuers help bring food from our partners to a local homeless shelter. For every six pounds you save, you feed five people. Volunteering less than one hour donates nutritious food for an average of 40 people.
All volunteers and rescuers help us transport food from our food donor partners to local homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and other human service agencies in our communities.
No minimum time commitment is required, and documentation for proof of volunteering is available upon request. Guidelines are in place to ensure zero person-to-person contact and you will not need to enter any buildings.
Hop aboard and volunteer with Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Rhode Island!
