HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE By raising money at The Walk for Hunger, you are making sure people all over Massachusetts have the healthy food they need. No one should go hungry, and you can help!
DESCRIPTIONThe Walk for Hunger is a 20 mile walk around Boston and Cambridge held every year on the first Sunday in May. People who participate in the Walk for Hunger raise money to help feed hungry people in Massachusetts. Whether you choose to do the 10 mile walk or the new 5K run, you can be a part of this special annual event. There is no minimum fundraising amount, but those who raise $500 or more join the special Heart & Sole Circle of Walkers. The Walk for Hunger is a fun and exciting activity for the whole family with music, dancing, and free snacks along the way.

1. Register to walk at www.projectbread.org/walk-for-hunger and make a plan for how you will begin raising money to support this great cause. You can participate in the new 5K run beginning at the Boston Common at 7:00 a.m. and/or the 20 mile walk along the scenic Charles River with a rolling start of 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. 2. You can ask you family, your neighbors, and other people in the community to sponsor you. As they donate, you can tack your progress in your own online Walk Center. If you want to walk as family or as a group, you can also sign up as a team and track all of your progress together. 3. On the day of the walk, come to the Boston Common and walk/run your way to help build a healthier MA!
