WHOSE HELP IS REQUIRED

A service idea that's well worth exploring for all Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, YMCA youth groups and more. We even have merit badges.

HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

We rely on volunteers to collect and donate used and unwanted crayons from homes, restaurants, and schools across the country, so we can  melts them down and remanufacture them.

Every year, 60 million crayons get thrown away, usually ending up in a landfill. These crayons become a waxy mess that will never biodegrade causing harm to our environment. You can ensure your crayons get recycled and given a new life by sending them to The Crayon Initiative.

DESCRIPTION

Please keep crayons out of landfills and enable them to be repurposed for children in hospitals in all 50 states.  You can download our Collection Drive Guidebook (which includes lessons plans, flyers, etc.) or simply follow along these directions.
