WHO NEEDS TO HELPAdult
HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Not only will you be helping students with their homework and writing skills, but you will also become a role model and mentor for our students. They will look up to you and seek your advice about life and school, and you will be there as an extra support for them! At our center, we want our students to believe in the impossible; we want them to write fearlessly, to be themselves, and to grow with their mentors.
Tutor young students on homework and help them write their next collection of stories! As a mentor and role model, you may be just the thing they need for their own stories to have even more amazing endings.
Volunteers need to tutor at our writing center and must be able to tutor in one of the four subjects: math, science, social studies, or english. Rising authors and writers, readers and lovers of literacy, and creative souls are encouraged to volunteer!
Volunteers must be age 16 or older.
To get started tutoring at the 826Boston Roxbury location between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. (Monday-Thursday), please email Jennifer Javier, Volunteer Manager, at email@example.com.
