HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Our most needed items like mattresses and box springs, bureaus, couches and upholstered chairs are typically picked up from donors homes. In order to serve 13-16 clients a week we need a steady influx of furniture.
Volunteers go out in our New Life truck with a small team to pick up furniture donations, performs initial quality control inspection, dispenses Donation Receipt Forms and New Life materials and information, unloads and moves furniture at the Donation Center. Must be 16 or older.
May need to lift and move furniture over 50lbs.
Teens under 18 years of age need a signed parental waiver to work in the Donation Center and to work on the truck crew additional permission noted for those between 16-18 years of age.
We recommend jeans, sneakers or work boots and work gloves.
