HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

This activity is the main program at Knit the Rainbow. We use the donated garments to provide essential warmth to houseless and at-risk LGBTQ+ youth around the country.

DESCRIPTION

We need your help to craft thousands of handmade knit and crochet winter garments. If you know how to knit or crochet or know someone who can teach you, all you have to do is craft whatever kind of garment you would like! Some examples of things we usually get are: scarves, beanies, socks, gloves, mittens, fingerless gloves, ear warmers, and sweaters.

ITEMS NEEDED

Keep in mind that we only accept handmade and unworn winter garments for distribution.
