You can make a difference in the lives of 1500+ homebound seniors and vulnerable residents across Los Angeles. Help nourish the body and soul of many seniors living on a fixed income.
DESCRIPTION
We assemble and deliver hundreds of bags of groceries to homebound seniors in Los Angeles.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with a team of staff and volunteers to set up the food bank items.
- Assemble five pounds of produce and shelf-stable food items per client for distribution to about 1200 Los Angeles homebound seniors.
- Assist in organizing the bagged groceries for specific delivery routes.
ITEMS NEEDED
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The performance of duties involves working outdoors in varied weather conditions and the physical ability to lift/move objects of ten pounds or more. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse staff and volunteers in a team environment; demonstrates a positive attitude; strong attention to detail.
