HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

https://www.binafarm.org/programs-services/garden-together

Our Garden Together program is a wonderful program for individuals of all abilities and ages. During the Spring, Summer & Fall of 2021 this program was offered free of charge. For those who require support, we ask that a family member or aide accompanies them and work together in the Garden. Participants will have an opportunity to participate in planting, maintaining, harvesting and selling herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowers. This program was sponsored by Merrifield Garden & Design in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, while our full season was made possible in part by a grant from the Community Endowment of Lexington, a fund of the Foundation for Metrowest.

DESCRIPTION

Our garden combines native plants with seasonal produce such as strawberries, peas, tomatoes and other plants to offer an environment of peace, exploration and curiosity. We also have a Farm Stand outside our garden to showcase ripe and harvested produce members of our BINA Farm Center community can take home to their kitchens. Volunteers will weed, water, plant, and monitor the health of our plants and garden as a whole through volunteer shifts available 7 days a week.
