WHO NEEDS TO HELPFamily
HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Holidays are special, especially when you are a kid, and there is something very special about Halloween when you are young. However, some kids don't get to fully enjoy the Halloween festivities because they can't afford a costume they can feel proud of or because they live in a neighborhood where going door to door at night isn't a safe idea. Make sure kids from around LA have a fun and safe Halloween by volunteering your time to make our Halloween Haunted House extra special. And if you can't make it, we'll make sure your donations of candy and/or new or gently-used costumes get into the hands of some happy kids.
Join us for our Halloween Haunted House and Party and help make happy Halloween memories for a whole bunch of nice kids in need (and their families). Volunteer to help run our Trunk-or-Treat station, Haunted House, Carnival Games, Face Painting Table, Costume Giveaway, or Arts & Crafts and give these families a Halloween they'll never forget. Donations of candy & new and/or gently-used costumes would be great too!
Just yourself (and maybe a good costume too!)
If you simply prefer to donate to this event, all you need is the candy and/or costumes you plan to drop off for the party.
Must be 15 to volunteer, unless accompanied by a parent.
For more information or to volunteer for the event at the end of October, please contact Rob Zaremsky, Senior Program Manager, at email@example.com or (323) 549-9944. Must be 15 to volunteer, unless accompanied by a parent.
1. Decide how you want to help. Volunteer to work the event. Donate candy and/or new or gently-used costumes. Or both.
2. Contact Rob Zaremsky, Senior Program Manager at Big Sunday, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (323) 549-9944 to see what the greatest needs are and to sign up to meet one of those needs.
3. If donating, drop off your candy and/or costume donations at Big Sunday (6111 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90038) by the Friday of the weekend before our Halloween Weekend.
4. If volunteering, show up (as instructed) on the designated date and have a great time making this Halloween memorable for area kids!
