Shifts available Monday-Friday, 8:45am to 11am and 12:30pm-2pm.

WHOSE HELP IS REQUIRED

All volunteers must be 17 years of age or older.  

HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

St. Francis House is the largest distributor of clothing to the poor and homeless in Boston. Every month, we distribute more than 1000 changes of clothing through our Fresh Threads program.  Fresh Threads provides guests with everyday attire, brand-new undergarments, shoes and other essentials, including winter gear that can make a life-or-death difference to those who have to spend the night outside.

DESCRIPTION

Work with guests one-on-one to meet their clothing needs, or help to sort donations and restock our shelves. 

ITEMS NEEDED

Reliable transportation and commitment to fulfill and show up on time for your volunteer slot.  

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

St. Francis House is deeply grateful for the dedicated volunteers who give their time and talent every day. In FY19, more than 3,003 volunteers donated 28,137 hours of service.
