HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
All the food we collect is given out to clients in need. These are families and individuals who struggle daily. Food security is an important component of their lives and by providing food in a secure environment, it relieves one additional challenge in their daily lives.
Help the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry team transfer donated goods from our collection site to our distribution site. Continue the work by helping sort and pack bags of food and ready them for distribution.
A willingness to help and make a difference!
All volunteers must be at least 7 years old and close-toed shoes are required. For those wishing to participate in our Tuesday night summer packing events, please email Barbara at email@example.com at least two days prior to the Tuesday you plan to attend.
Contact Barbara Javitz at firstname.lastname@example.org or Luis Oliart at email@example.com to make arrangements for a time to work. The Pantry serves clients on Mondays and Fridays between 9:00 and 1:00. The packing facility is open the other days, with special packing events in the summer on Tuesday afternoons.
1. Contact Barbara Javitz at firstname.lastname@example.org or Luis Oliart at email@example.com to find out when donations are being sorted and/or when they are needed to be picked up. Find out if you can help the transport team move donations from the collection location to the distribution center.
2. With your parent or guardian's help, assist with the transfer as directed.
3. Under adult direction, sort and pack bags of food according to the Pantry's guidelines.
4. Feel good knowing you made a difference in the lives of people in your community!
