HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
With your help, we bring fresh fruits, vegetables and basic pantry items (not meals) directly to the homes of qualifying low-income Cambridge residents who are unable to access traditional food pantries due to illness or disability and do not have relatives or caretakers who are able to assist with groceries.
Help deliver groceries to those in need. The Healthy Eats Home Delivery program differs from “meals-on-wheels” type programs because we bring groceries – not prepared meals – to our clients, allowing recipients to cook and prepare their own meals. Home Delivery gives seniors and people with disabilities more control over their meals, while providing a supportive service to those who cannot access traditional food pantries or have a support system in place for regular, healthy and nutritious food.
Must have access to a car.
Teen volunteers need to submit a parent/guardian consent form. Volunteers under 15 years old need to be accompanied by an adult during their volunteer shift.
Please complete and submit the application form and you will be contacted by a member of the Food For Free team. See VIEW INSTRUCTIONS for details.
