HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

For underserved students, a college essay is a powerful vehicle to tell a story on a student’s own terms. The format of a college essay allows students to use their stories and voice to distinguish themselves to an admissions committee.

College essay assistance doesn’t just increase the chances that a student will be admitted to college. The process equips students to tell their own story and confers a lifelong lesson in agency, self-advocacy, and confidence. Volunteers consistently report that the process is a memorable and meaningful experience. Students report that having a sounding board and feedback on their essay increases their confidence.

DESCRIPTION

The college essay might be the most important piece of writing a student will author. Join a class of high school juniors or seniors to work on their college essays.

Why College Essays?
