HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Thousands of women every year find security, respite and a sense of normalcy through necessities provided by Rosie's Place. We rely on the generosity of individuals, companies and organizations to provide clothing, toiletries and other essential items year- round but especially during the holiday season.

DESCRIPTION

It’s never too early to start planning for the holiday season at Rosie’s Place. With your help, we can bring holiday cheer and caring to so many women who have struggled every day this year to get by. Coordinate an effort with your workplace, school or family to collect holiday gifts for our guests. 

ITEMS NEEDED

Collection bins, flyers or emails, transportation to deliver items or boxes to mail.  

Most needed items are: • Brand new hats, gloves and scarves • $25 gift cards at CVS, Walgreens, Target and Old Navy • Bath and body gift sets with lotion, body wash and body spray (from stores such as Bath & Body Works)

Sending or dropping off items to a nonprofit? Don't forget to tell them you found them through PGK! Download and print a packing slip here.
  1. Communicate via email, social media, flyers about your drive, location of collection bins, dates, etc.
  2. We encourage donations to be shipped, however, if you plan to to deliver them in-person, please fill out this form to schedule a drop-off. For questions, contact Community Engagement at volunteer@rosiesplace.org.  Let her know you learned about this opportunity through PGK.
  3. Ship donations or deliver [Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm] to Rosie’s Place at 889 Harrison Avenue, Boston.   
  4. Share Your Success! Share how much you collected and a photo of your donation on Social.  Tag @RosiesPlace and @ProjectGivingKids.
