Participants will explore the pursuit of a career in the arts through expertise from creative professionals across disciplines and collaborate with a diverse range of peers to present their vision for a more inclusive industry!

DESCRIPTION

Arts Leadership Training Program
For High School Students & Young Adults

Join us in the spring for this six-week introductory session designed to support young artists’ pathways toward a career in the arts! Participants will receive one-on-one mentorship from arts professionals currently working throughout the Bay Area and beyond!

Individuals from backgrounds historically underrepresented in theatre are strongly encouraged to apply. 

ITEMS NEEDED

Transportation to/from Bay Area Children’s Theatre Academy Studios & Museum of Children’s Art (MOCHA) in Downtown Oakland

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Eligibility Requirements: Open to high school (Class of 2026) through age 25. BACT is currently seeking applicants with an interest in one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Visual Arts
  • Choreography
  • Directing
  • Casting
  • Dramaturgy
  • Arts Administration
  • Stage Management
  • Theatre Education
  • Theatre Performance
